Auburn softball opened tournament play Friday night against Liberty. While the Flames kept it close through the first three innings, Auburn’s Kasey Cooper hit a bomb over the right field wall to give the Tigers a 5-0 lead through fourth inning.
Liberty added a run on an RBI single in the bottom half of the fourth.
Through five the score remained 5-1 when Auburn’s Casey McCrackin and Victoria Draper led off the top of the sixth inning with back to back singles. Carlee Wallace then unloaded on a fastball that landed somewhere in Loachapoka to make the score 8-1.
