Auburn scores 56 points in win over Idaho, becomes bowl-eligible

If only Auburn could play a Petrino every week. In Week 1, the Tigers knocked off Bobby Petrino and his Louisville Cardinals. And on Saturday, with a 56-34 win over Idaho, they took care of business against his brother Paul Petrino.

With the win, Auburn (6-5) is now bowl eligible for the third straight season.

What this win means for Auburn: Wait, 56 points? That’s the most points Auburn has scored all season, and it must have felt good for a team that has struggled to move the ball in recent weeks. Jeremy Johnson got the start at quarterback with Sean White on the mend and went 13 of 19 for 163 yards with four touchdowns (two rushing) and no interceptions.
