AUBURN, Ala. – In Auburn’s 51-14 win over Arkansas State on Saturday, quarterback Sean White wasn’t the only Tigers player to turn heads with his offensive performance.
Both sophomore running backs Kerryon Johnson and Kamryn Pettway showed explosive ability at the position in the decisive victory.
Against the Red Wolves, both running backs rushed for over 100 yards for the first time in their Auburn careers. It also was the first time the Tigers have had two 100-yard rushers in the same game since it faced South Carolina in 2014.
“I think (having two good running backs) is very valuable,” Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said after the game.
