The Auburn Tigers opened spring practice Tuesday with a renewed focus. Coach Malzahn said the team hit the field with, “a chip on their shoulder from last year, which I think is very healthy.” Of course Gus was referring to a disappointing 7-6 season after being picked in the preseason to win the SEC. No doubt the road to redemption starts with spring drills.
Malzahn’s says his goals for the spring is for everyone to have a basic understanding of fundamental techniques and, “to have a two-deep by the end of spring.” It’s that two-deep statement that peaks most fans interest; particularly at the quarterback position.
