Former NFL cornerback Cris Dishman got to know Auburn quarterback Jarrett Stidham well when both were at Baylor — Stidham as a player and Dishman as an assistant.
Dishman, who played in the NFL from 1986-2000 and was a Pro Bowler before getting into coaching, recently told AL.com that he remembers Stidham making NFL-caliber throws in practice and said he believes Stidham is a “taller Drew Brees.”
“I was like, ‘OK, no other quarterback can make that throw,’ ” Dishman said of a particular deep out pattern. “I had to go back and watch it on film.
