AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn men’s golf team moved up two places to being ranked 11th in the Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll. Six of the top 12 teams nationally are from the SEC.
Texas A&M is the new No. 1 ranked team, edging No. 2 Oklahoma State by nine points. Wake Forest is ranked No. 3 followed by Alabama, Florida, Georgia Tech, Baylor, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Texas Tech, Auburn and Vanderbilt.
Kent State is No. 13 ahead of Illinois, Arizona State, Arkansas, Duke, Missouri, LSU, Texas, BYU, Marquette, Southern California, Florida State and Saint Mary’s.
The Tigers have a pair of top three finishes in their opening two fall tournaments, tying for second in the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas and finishing third in the Carpet Capital Collegiate.
