Continuing their march toward a possible NCAA bid, the Auburn Women’s Basketball Team downed Missouri 47-45 Thursday in the second round of the SEC Tournament in Jacksonville, Florida. Despite the low scoring game, it was an exciting contest that went down to the final buzzer.
It was also a little bit of payback that Auburn served Missouri for having broke an AU five game winning streak 69-65 back on Feb. 21. And they did it with typical Auburn defense, holding the Tigers from Columbia to 34.9 percent shooting. Auburn (19-11) gave up only 10 turnovers while making 14 steals and forcing Missouri (21-9) into 20 turnovers.
