With the sudden departure of former Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp to South Carolina, Auburn has been on the hunt for someone to replace him. Reports indicate that the decision on new defensive coordinator could be made by the end of the week.
As the recruiting trail is heating up, Auburn would love to get someone in that position to help make a final push for the 2016 recruiting class. In the process of losing Muschamp it’s possible that some kids who made their verbal commitment based on him being there could flip before signing day. Getting a new defensive coordinator in there quickly might help keep them from changing their minds.
