AUBURN, Ala. - Two former Auburn greats were named to the College Football Hall of Fame ballot on Thursday.
Linebacker Gregg Carr and defensive back Buddy McClinton are among the 75 players from the FBS who are up for consideration to join the College Football Hall of Fame.
Carr was a 1984 consensus First Team All-American and three-time First Team All-SEC selection. He also won SEC Lineman of the Year in 1984. He twice led Auburn in tackles and helped the Tigers win the 1983 SEC title.
McClinton was a three-time All-American, including First Team All-American in 1969.
