It’s time for one of college football’s most unique and storied football series. It’s Auburn – Georgia week on the Plains. Known as the “Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry,” the game is more than a rivalry. It’s the genesis of college football in Dixie. It is one of only 11 series in the nation to have reached the century mark in games played, and the only one in the deep south to achieve that distinction.
Its rich tradition symbolizes what makes the college game so special. Since 1892, the first year college football was first played in the south, Auburn and Georgia have locked up in combat every November.
