On Sunday, Washington coach Chris Petersen was asked who’s been playing the role of Auburn quarterback Jarrett Stidham during practice and Petersen had an interesting answer.
He said some of the younger guys have taken some reps getting the defense prepared for the Stidham-led Auburn offense.
As well as Jacob Eason.
That’s right, Jacob Eason. Remember him? The 5-star quarterback from Lake Stevens, Wash., who played at Georgia as a freshman before getting injured last season and losing the starting job to Jake Fromm.
While Eason is sitting out this season because of transfer rules (plus Petersen has a fourth-year starting QB in Jake Browning), he knows a thing or two about SEC football and Petersen is thrilled to have him on the team.
