The Senior Bowl was somewhat of a coming-out party for K.J. Britt through the lens of the linebacker having his name called out by Roger Gooddell in the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft. The former Auburn football stud was deflecting passes and suppressing the run game in the annual All-Star showcase of college football’s best seniors.
Britt’s stats were not as impressive in 2020, but the topsy-turvy nature of the SEC schedule was a contributing factor as to why. The season started in late September this past year, and while that is early for Power 5 and even Group of 5 standards (the Big 10 started in late October, the Pac-12 and MAC both started in November), that undoubtedly affected just about everyone’s production during the first (and hopefully only) pandemic-affected college football season.
