The Auburn football coaching staff continues to work hard on the recruiting front, attempting to put themselves and Auburn University into a good position with top 2017 talents.
Still, a sizable portion of the Tigers’ fan-base is at least somewhat concerned about the perceived slow start to this recruiting cycle when it comes to quantity — not quality — of secured commitments. That can happen when Carlito Gonzalez, the last to commit, pledged more than eight months ago.
It is true that Auburn presently has only three pledges, which is less than every school in the SEC outside of Ole Miss (3), Missouri (3), and Vanderbilt (1).
