AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn receiver Tony Stevens likely won't be a participant when the team takes the field for Saturday's A-Day game. That's according to Auburn coach Gus Malzahn, who updated the status of the rising junior receiver following Tuesday's practice.
During the open viewing portion of Tuesday's session, Stevens was seen on a scooter with a protective boot on his left leg. While Malzahn wouldn't lend any insight on how the injury occurred, he said it didn't help Stevens' chances of playing this weekend.
"He got banged up, too. Wasn't able to practice today," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said in a post-practice press conference Tuesday.
