Tonight just wasn't Auburn's night in Cancun, as Purdue was draining everything from beyond the arc and not much was dropping for the Tigers. Purdue finished 17 of 26 from three-point range. It's hard to beat anyone shooting that well.
Auburn fought hard in this one in the first half. Much of that was on the back of Danjel Purifoy who scored most of Auburn's early points. Purdue pulled out to a 10 point lead in the 1st half, but Auburn fought back and took the lead right before the half. Unfortunately, Purdue drained a three in the final seconds and went into the half with a two-point lead.
