Auburn didn’t have a first-round pick in either of the past two drafts and has had just five first-rounders total since it had four selected in the first round in 2005. The Tigers don’t seem likely to have a player taken in the first round this year, either.
Edge rusher Carl Lawson – who played end for Auburn and may be seen by some NFL teams as a 3-4 outside linebacker – and defensive tackle Montravius Adams are the Tigers’ top two prospects. Lawson could sneak into the first round, but he and Adams are certain to be gone by the end of the second day.
