Louisiana-Monroe coach Matt Viator said the Warhawks can’t let Carl Lawson or his linemates take control of Saturday’s game.
Viator pointed out the danger of Lawson, who has a team-high three sacks and eight quarterback hits, in his weekly news conference before the Warhawks’ trip to Jordan-Hare Stadium. ULM (1-2) is Auburn’s homecoming opponent.
“Lawson’s a big-time player coming off the edge,” Viator said. “We’ve certainly got to be conscious of that.”
Lawson is just one of several line threats highlighted by the Warhawks’ coach, who also noted the interior duo of Montravius Adams (309 pounds) and Dontavius Russell (308 pounds).
