Auburn football comes to a fork in the road in its season Saturday against LSU at Jordan-Hare Stadium. A victory leads down one path whereby the season might yet be salvaged. Down the other path, following a loss, discord, uncertainty and a new football coach could be on the horizon.
I have been asked repeatedly this week about Gus Malzahn’s future. My response has been consistent: Ask me after the game. The picture will be much clearer at that time.
As simply as I can put this, Gus Malzahn should – and will – be fired after the season, if not before, should Auburn lose to LSU.
