Following a 67-65 victory against Texas Tech, Auburn moves on to face Purdue in the championship game of the Cancun Challenge on Wednesday night.
Auburn’s record improves to 4-0 following Tuesday night’s win — the Tigers’ best start since the 2011-2012 season. Once again, Mustapha Heron led the team in scoring with 15 points, shooting 50% from the field. Heron has been lethal for the Tigers thus far this season, as his breakout game came last week against Eastern Kentucky when the guard scored 24 points and shooting a perfect 8-8 from the field. Let’s hope Heron’s efficient shooting continues, as this offensive system relies heavily on high percentage three-point shooting.
