The Auburn basketball coach pointed out that his Tigers will get to play Kentucky and Mississippi State — considered two of the SEC’s top teams along with the Tigers — twice.
The SEC sets up the schedule to each team plays the other 13 conference opponents once and their three permanent opponents a second time with two other games shifting from year-to-year.
“While I’m grateful, this schedule is all we want. It is one of the toughest in the country,” Pearl said. “There will be nine or 10 teams that have a chance to make the NCAA Tournament.
