Junior guard T.J. Lang announced his decision to leave the Auburn basketball program via Twitter this morning. Lang averaged 16.4 minutes per game for the Tigers while struggling with injuries and a growing roster, scoring 4.3 points per game on 39.8 percent shooting. He averaged 7.1 points per game for the 2015-16 season on 42.4 percent shooting through 24.9 minutes.
Although Lang would have presented himself as a veteran for the youthful roster, he struggled to find his place within the talented roster. Introduction of Mustapha Heron and Anfernee McLemore, along with the reintroduction of Bryce Brown, pulled Lang further away from rotation.
