I’m sure this isn’t how head coach Butch Thompson pictured his first season on the Plains in charge of Auburn baseball. Granted, the team was depleted except for a few standouts – thanks, Sunny Golloway – and playing in the SEC is never easy, but the struggles the Tigers have seen are quite worrisome.
After losing to South Alabama in a midweek game on Tuesday and being swept last weekend in Oxford by Ole Miss, it doesn’t get any easier as No. 22 Kentucky comes to Plainsman Park for a three-game set starting Friday night.
