While most Auburn fans have been following the renaissance of Auburn basketball, the baseball team has taken off on one of its best starts in program history. In fact, the Tigers 15-1 record is the second best start ever. After sweeping through their first 15 games, the Tigers dropped a one run game Sunday to Northeastern. But the loss is just a bump in the road for a team that is firing on all cylinders.
The team bats are on an absolute tear having scored 147 runs through 16 games while post 19 home runs matching the total of the first 40 games last year.
