As pleased as Auburn’s second-year coach is to guide the Tigers back to the postseason for the first time since 2010 and just the second time in the last decade, Golloway wants — and expects — more for his program.
“I’m not going to a regional just to try to win a game,” Golloway said last week. “That ain’t going to happen. We’re going to try to win the thing.”
That quest begins Friday at 11 a.m., when third-seeded Auburn (35-24) takes on second-seeded College of Charleston (43-13) at Dick Howser Stadium in Tallahassee, Fla., for the opening game of the Tallahassee Regional hosted by Florida State.
