After a closely fought, but disappointing sweep on the road against Ole Miss, Auburn baseball (20-24, 7-14) bounced back to pick up a huge series win over a ranked Kentucky team (27-17, 11-10).
The two wins put Auburn into a tie for 10th place in the overall SEC standings. They just have to finish in the top 12 to make the SEC Tournament at the end of May. However, Auburn still has to play Alabama, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt with only the Mississippi State series being at home.
Auburn got off to a good start on Friday winning game one over Kentucky 5-2 thanks to a 3-4 effort by Anfernee Grier that included a home run.
