Auburn baseball took two out of three games against the Georgia Bulldogs, fueled again by strong pitching, to remain in first place in the SEC.
Auburn, ranked No. 20 in the country, is now 20-6 overall and 5-1 in the SEC.
In Friday night’s opener, ace Keegan Thompson pitched four innings of shutout ball before being removed as a precaution. Senior Daniel Robert came in from first base to pitch 1.1 innings, striking out three, and then drove in the winning run in a 2-1 victory. Robert has now struck out seven in four innings without giving up a hit.
