INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Auburn track and field incoming freshman sprinter Anthony Schwartz has been named to Team USATF for the IAAF World U20 Championships held in Tampere, Finland, July 10-15.
Schwartz, a native of Miami, Florida, clinched a spot in both the 100m and the 4x100m following his sensational first place finish in the men’s 100m at the 2018 USATF Junior Outdoor Championships with a time of 10.23.
The Plantation American Heritage High School product was recently named the Gatorade National Boys Track and Field Athlete of the Year. He won the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 2A Championship in May in the 100m with a remarkable 10.
