The Tigers are expressing concern about cramping in quarterback John Franklin III’s throwing hand.
Those cramps appeared during the Sugar Bowl, when the Tigers lost to Oklahoma 35-19, taking him out of action and forcing coach Gus Malzahn to insert third-stringer Jeremy Johnson after starter Sean White also left with injury.
“That’s the first time it’s happened with us,” Malzahn said Wednesday after the second Senior Bowl practice in Mobile, Alabama. “It was something new.
