Fayetteville, Ark. - Junior sprinter Jenae Ambrose won the women’s 200m dash in a personal best time of 23.35 against a very competitive field at the Tyson Invitational Saturday. Ambrose edged out teammate Natalliah Whyte, who broke Auburn’s freshman record in a time of 23.40 to claim silver in the event.
A native of St. Catherine, Jamaica, Whyte broke Nivea Smith’s previous 200m freshman indoor record of 23.73 set in 2009.
