You remember how everyone felt after losing to Alabama in the 2009 Iron Bowl?
“Man, we played the best team in the country all the way down to the final moments.”
Last night was kind of like that, except maybe even better.
Auburn lost to Duke by six in Maui, but the following was true:
- The Tigers played without Danjel Purifoy (he’s still suspended for four more games) and the guy in his spot in the starting lineup fouled out and scored zero points.
- Duke attempted 18 free throws in the first half.
