As many know, Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn has instituted a near media blackout for spring ball. This isn’t a sudden move but rather a continuation down a path that started when he was offensive coordinator. But, as Acid Reign wrote earlier, fans already have a pretty good idea of the offense. If fans understand it, Nick Saban understands it. The question is, can the opposing defenses stop it?
That comes down to the playmakers on the field, or lack thereof.
On Saturday Malzahn let the quarterbacks go live in scrimmages. I applaud the notion of letting live football decide who will become Auburn’s next starting quarterback.
