Auburn fans know their new starting quarterback, Jarrett Stidham, began his career at Baylor. They may know he was at one point a five-star recruit and among the most coveted talents of the Class of 2015.
But there’s plenty they might not know and should about Stidham, who’ll be tasked with reviving a program that’s finished above .500 in the SEC just once in the past three seasons. The Tigers’ offense also has finished outside the top half of the SEC in yards per play in each of the past two seasons.
A few things Auburn fans ought to know:
He’s tough
Stidham stepped in for the injured Seth Russell as a true freshman in 2015 and played through a painful hand injury in a win over Oklahoma State before breaking a bone in the back of his right ankle that made it impossible for him to play.
