One of the early blows to Auburn’s 2021 recruiting class came in April last year when 4-star OLB Dylan Brooks committed to Tennessee over Auburn.
The major factor in that decision was his relationship with Jeremy Pruitt. The two were close and upon being assured by Phillip Fulmer that Pruitt would still be in charge next season, Brooks elected to sign early with the Vols.
Then Tennessee blew everything up. Following the firing of Jeremy Pruitt and Phillip Fulmer’s retirement, Brooks immediately wanted out of his National Letter of Intent and filed for a release with the school.
