From Gainesville to Columbus and from Auburn to Oxford, teams are trying out a new, expensive helmet designed to usher in a new era of player protection.

The ZERO1 helmet is instantly recognizable. It represents a radical change in helmet structure. And it’s not cheap.

One of the teams participating in the spring practice test was Ole Miss, as demonstrated by Rebels head equipment manager Ken Crain.
