The Auburn Tigers recently offered a scholarship to 2018 four-star wide receiver Jahan Dotson (Nazareth, PA), and they've jumped to the forefront of his recruitment as a result.
“I’m definitely in the process of building a relationship with the coaching staff," Dotson said, via 247sports. "I’ve talked with head coach Gus Malzahn and a few other coaches. I like what coach Malzahn had to say about why he liked me and what he wanted to offer me. They also have a coach, [offensive line] coach Herb Hand, that used to be at Penn State and he has been recruiting me since I was in the 8th grade. I think that helps them a lot because I have a good relationship with him.”
As for the program itself, Dotson is interested in them because they're in the SEC and compete for championships. He has never been to the school, but he is hoping to take a visit this summer.
“It’s a great program and they are always one of the best in the country. They do well with their wide receivers and they always have a strong offense.”
Dotson is ranked as the No. 6 wide receiver and No. 83 overall prospect in the 2018 class.
