The Auburn Tigers are set to host 2016 four-star West Palm Beach (FL) wide receiver Ahmmon Richards for an unofficial visit. Richards is currently committed to the University of Miami, but that's not stopping him from at least feeling out the vibe at Auburn.
"It’s pretty big, honestly. I’ve heard the area is pretty nice. I can’t wait to see the area and the environment,” Richard said of this week's visit.
Richards added the Tigers “most likely” will get an official visit.
While he maintains that he's still "pretty solid" in his commitment to Miami, he's intrigued by the prospects of lining up on offense for the Tigers.
“I would say I kind of like the offense,” Richards told AuburnUndercover. “I followed them last year and the year they went to the national championship game. They pass the ball pretty well. They use their receivers pretty well. Sammie Coates was a big guy, and they used him as a deep threat."
Rated as the #49 overall receiver in the Class of 2016 by 247Sports, Richards has plans to visit the Tennessee Volunteers and Alabama Crimson Tide this weekend.
Richards caught 53 passes for 1,183 yards and 21 touchdowns during his junior season. He currently holds offers from 16 schools.
