Texas A&M stunned Auburn on the road Saturday in a win that shakes up both the SEC and the College Football Playoff picture. A&M jumped out to a 14 point lead just two minutes into the game, and after Auburn tied the score, the Aggies put up a 21 point second quarter to further extend the lead. Despite Auburn's best efforts, A&M hung on against a late charge to pull off the upset.
Turning Point: Auburn came storming back in the second half and even had a chance to take the lead with less than three minutes to go in the game, but on a second and goal from the A&M three yard line, quarterback Nick Marshall fumbled with the Aggies recovering.
Auburn had another chance to take the lead, but fumbled the snap at the A&M 29 yard line with a minute left in the game.
Key Stat: The teams combined to convert 11 of 21 third down attempts, and picked up 52 total first downs.
Texas A&M MVP: Kyle Allen - 19/29 for 277 yards passing, four touchdowns
Allen played extremely well in the first half, tossing all four of his touchdowns in the first 30 minutes, including two on the first two drives of the game.
Auburn MVP: Cameron Artis-Payne - 30 carries, 221 yards and two touchdowns
Artis-Payne took on a ridiculous workload to help move the Auburn offense on a day where the passing game was essentially an afterthought.
