The latest Auburn football coaching rumors
The word this afternoon out of Auburn is that the Tigers plan to meet with Oregon OC Mark Helfrich next week in New York City, where the Ducks offensive coach will be to support whichever Ducks player gets invited to NYC for the 2012 Heisman Trophy ceremony.
Helfrich has been on the Tigers radar since the 2010 BCS Championship game, when, Auburn brass were very impressed how the Ducks were able to operate on offense at such a high level no matter who the QB was. The Ducks will be playing in their 4h straight BCS game this season, with 3 different QB's running the show. Auburn fans and administrators loved the offense run by the Tigers in 2010, but are weary that the entire success of the program relied on one player, Cam Newton.
Stay tuned in the next few days for further details on Helfrich...
