Four-star 2017 quarterback Lowell Narcisse (St. James, LA) is visiting the Auburn Tigers this week, and it will be crucial for the Tigers because they're in a virtual tie with LSU to land his services.
“It’s 50-50 with Auburn and LSU,” Narcisse said via 247sports. “LSU is like home. It’s right there in our backyard. It’s 30 to 35 minutes away. Auburn’s offense is basically the type of offense that fits me perfectly. It’s what I do in high school. [This visit] is real important. I’ll have my family coming with me. About 10 people. Everybody is excited to take the visit. We’re leaving Friday so we should be getting in Friday sometime. Then we’re heading home Sunday morning.”
This will be Narcisse's second visit to Auburn, while he's been to LSU "a lot" because of the close proximity to his home. He's never been to an Auburn game or practice, and he said he's looking forward to getting a close look at the team.
“I’m excited to see the offense, knowing they’ve got a lot of key weapons coming back,” Narcisse said. “Jeremy Johnson is going to be a good quarterback. I want to see how they’re going to work together. He’s different (from Nick Marshall). Every quarterback is unique in their own way. Cam Newton had his own way, Nick had his own way of playing and Jeremy has his own way. (Auburn) learns how to utilize their quarterbacks in different ways."
The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder is one of Auburn’s top overall targets and is the No. 3 dual-threat quarterback in the 2017 class.
