The Auburn football coaching search seems far from over. The Tigers are looking to be quite methodical in their search and waiting for the perfect person to take over the Auburn program.
A new name that has surged to the top of the list of coaches the Tigers are inquiring about is St. Louis Rams coach Jeff Fisher. He would be a great candidate for Auburn because he is very experienced
coach who is known for his hard working attitude. Additionally hiring Fisher would be a plus because NFL coaches tend to have a high success rate when transitioning to the collegiate level.

On the downside, Fisher has never coached at the collegiate level so this would be quite a learning experience for him. Additionally, his current contract with the Rams is worth $35 million, a sum that would be near impossible to match.
Given these barriers do NOT expect Jeff Fisher to be the next Auburn football coach.
