The #6 Auburn Tigers handed the #1 Alabama Crimson Tide their first loss of the season in the Iron Bowl with a 26-14 win, sending Auburn to the SEC Championship Game and keeping their College Football Playoff hopes alive.
Quarterback Jarrett Stidham had his best game of the season for the Tigers, passing for 237 yards while rushing for 51 more yards and a touchdown that iced the win for Auburn.

Alabama struggled to move the ball, racking up 377 total yards of offense - 66 of which came on the final play of the game. Quarterback Jalen Hurts struggled, passing for just 177 yards and a touchdown while adding another 79 yards on the ground. No running back ran for more than 51 yards, showing how their normally dominant rushing attack was mostly held in check.
With the loss, Alabama has to wait and see where they are in the College Football Playoff rankings. They are no longer in control of their own destiny in terms of making the playoff.
Meanwhile, Auburn gets a rematch with Georgia in next weekend's SEC Championship Game. The winner of that game is expected to earn a playoff bid.
