The Auburn Tigers desperately need a win if they want to just make a bowl game this season after losing to Arkansas last weekend, and they have the chance to turn their season around against Ole Miss on Saturday. Here are three reasons why they'll do just that and knock off the Rebels:
3) Ole Miss' inconsistency
The Rebels has quite simply not been good since they knocked off Alabama, losing twice while narrowly beating Vanderbilt. At the same time, they dominated a struggling Texas A&M team last week. No one really knows what to expect from Ole Miss - especially quarterback Chad Kelly - on a week-to-week basis, and no one would be surprised if they struggled again in this one.
2) Home-field advantage
Jordan-Hare Stadium is one of the toughest places to play in the entire country, and Auburn always plays better at home. Magical things always seem to happen there - just ask Alabama or Georgia - and this weekend could be just the latest chapter of memorable games at Jordan-Hare.
Ole Miss also hasn't been good on the road this season, getting blown out at Florida and at Memphis. This certainly seems like the perfect storm for an upset.
1) Peyton Barber's hot streak
Barber is one of the best running backs in the entire country, let alone the SEC, and what he's doing for a struggling Auburn team has been incredible. He's racked up 770 yards and 12 touchdowns this season - 11 of which have come in the past three games. If he continues to keep up that incredible pace, Auburn is capable to pulling off this upset.
