The 5-4 Auburn Tigers host the 6-3 Georgia Bulldogs in a game that features teams that haven't lived up to expectations. The Bulldogs and Tigers were both popular picks to win their respective divisions, but have struggled at times this season. A loss is going to mean the seat of either Mark Richt or Gus Malzahn is going to heat up. However, Malzahn will avoid that when his Tigers beat Georgia. Here are three reasons why Auburn will CRUSH Georgia.
3. Better Play From QBs
Jeremy Johnson struggled early this season, but he played well in Auburn's win over Texas A&M. He completed 13 of 17 passes for 132 yards and a TD. Most importantly, he avoided the interceptions that plagued him earlier this season. It's not clear if Johnson or Sean White will get the start, but both QBs have shown in recent weeks than can serve as quality game-managers. With a great running game (see below), that's all Auburn will need to beat Georgia.
2. Georgia's QB Problems
Greyson Lambert has already been benched once this season, and the Faton Bauta experiment was a complete disaster at QB. Lambert wasn't very good against UK and backup Brice Ramsey, who couldn't beat out Bauta earlier this season, wasn't much better. None of Georgia's QBs have played well lately and those issues will continue against Auburn.
1. Auburn Running Game
Star RB Peyton Barber has been limited the past two weeks, although he might be back to full strength against Georgia. Even if he's not, Auburn has a deadly running game. The Tigers ran for 311 yards against Texas A&M, with only 41 of those coming from Barber. Jovon Robinson racked up 159 yards on 27 carries, and he's more than talented enough to shoulder the burden for the Tigers. Behind a strong running game, the Tigers will cruise to a win over Georgia.
