Supporters groups demand increased away ticket allocation for potential MLS Cup at Mercedes Benz Stadium

Supporters of the four remaining playoff teams in the MLS Cup playoffs have released a joint statement calling for an increase to the allotment of away tickets for a potential MLS Cup hosted at Mercedes Benz Stadium.

While Atlanta United has not officially earned its spot in MLS Cup 2018 yet, the joint statement reveals that in the event that they hold their current 3-0 aggregate lead over the Red Bulls, they would only guarantee around 1,000 tickets for their opponent’s fans.

Here’s an excerpt from the statement sent out on Tuesday, signed by the Kansas City Cauldron, Timbers Army/107IST, Terminus Legion, and Empire Supporters Club asking the club to meet the FIFA recommended allotment of 5% of capacity:

Our concern, and frankly outrage, lies in the preparation for a match at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
