Atlanta United left back George Bello has received a call up to the senior United States Men’s National Team camp in December, a source tells Dirty South Soccer.
It’s unknown yet whether Bello will actually participate with national team manager Gregg Berhalter’s squad, as the dates could overlap with Atlanta United’s Concacaf Champions League training ahead of it’s second leg quarterfinal match against Club America, a tie Atlanta currently trails 3-0.
The December camp hasn’t officially been announced by U.S. Soccer and no friendlies are scheduled yet, but Berhalter told media in a press conference this month that he was hopeful about finalizing details to allow it to come to fruition.
