The Mexican Football Federation’s contract offer to Atlanta United manager Tata Martino would make him the world’s highest-paid national team manager, according to a report from Super Deportivo’s Cesar Luis Merlo.
The report reveals that Martino’s camp—which includes his daughter as a legal advisor—is engaged in talks with Mexico, but “there is still no agreement, much less a signed contract.”
Tata Martino has repeatedly told local media that he has not spoken directly with any outside clubs or federations and that he does not employ an agent to do so on his behalf.
The report also states that Martino and club executives are scheduled to sit down within a couple of weeks for another meeting to discuss his future.
