Report: Franco Escobar sustained another injury in first game back

Franco Escobar’s unfortunate 2019 season appears to have continued on Saturday night. The defender returned to action for the first time for the first team in the 2-0 loss against Columbus. However, Escobar was subbed out due to injury, according to the AJC’s Doug Roberson.

The Argentine is said to have strained his adductor muscle in the miserable playing conditions at MAPFRE Stadium.

No official update has been given from the team. We’ll have to wait and see just how bad his injury is and if he could miss more time.

Atlanta United players weren’t happy about playing in a terenchal downpour.
