Pity Martinez’s time with Atlanta United has officially come to a close. The club announced on Monday that the Argentine playmaker has completed a transfer to Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.
Official financial details of the deal were not announced, but several reports have indicated that the Five Stripes will rake in around $18 million from the transfer. If accurate, that should be enough for the club to net some profit from their original investment and allow them some financial room to work towards helping rebuild their roster.
“We want to thank Pity for his contributions to our club for the past two years,” said Atlanta United Vice President and Technical Director Carlos Bocanegra.
