Every emotion was felt as the North Carolina Courage managed to sneak past the Orlando Pride 4-3 in their second consecutive road win. There are plenty of aspects to this game that should be lauded and bemoaned from Courage Country, so let’s break down this match.
A perfectly traditional first half
The Courage came out hot. The defense had very little to do for the first 45 minutes as the midfield and forwards controlled the ball and broke down Orlando early and often. Jess McDonald and Crystal Dunn each found themselves faced up with Orlando goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris repeatedly, but it took a frustratingly long time for the Courage to get their first goal.
