After much speculation, Atlanta United have acquired Darlington Nagbe from the Portland Timbers, the club announced today.
Nagbe, 27, played with the club since the Timbers selected him 2nd overall in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft. He compiled a commendable 27 goals and 30 assists in 214 appearances, and was named an MLS All-Star in 2016.
In exchange for the U.S. international, Portland has received a record-breaking amount of allocation monies to bolster their roster.
Nagbe brings a modest amount of international experience, with 24 caps for the USMNT since 2015.
